Question Shit ton of specific keywords and exact match OR more general terms with phrase match

Is it better to have a lotttt (around 800-1000) very specific keywords set to exact match?

OR

Is it better to have a few (maybe around 50 or so) keywords set to exact and phrase match with negatives?

Short answer..... your results may vary.

Less short answer:
You will have greater control of profitability and should get lower CPC with lots of exact match keywords.

You may very well get higher volume using broad and phrase match with a good set of negatives.

There is no advantage to having fewer exact match keywords unless you are talking about having tighter adgroups with the same number of keywords in the campaign. That would certainly be an improvement.

The best recommendation is... Test both and see which one works for you.
