I'm using Yahoo Sponsored search for 2 campaigns.
Here are my stats: Campaign 1 25 Keywords (Active for 6 Days) Accidentally had both Sponsored and Content enabled for the first day. Content: 13,245 Impressions, 0 Clicks Sponsored: 1,804 Impressions, 9 Clicks (.50% CTR) Campaign 2 24 Keywords (Active for 6 Days) Sponsored: 375 Impressions, 6 Clicks (1.6% CTR) Total cost: $9.04 My daily budget is up to $50 for each campaign.... What do you guys think? Find other keywords, try the Content only network, or what? |

CTR looks pretty decent on day 2 but could still use a lot of work. I'd be split testing ad copy. You left out if those clicks became conversion at all and what position you were in. What your were bidding etc. All those play a role in making a decision like this, not just ctr and where the ads are running.

Campaign 1 looks to have more volume, but you need to get in the game there. Your ads should be tailored to the kw phrase and you should be bidding high for the first month. Are all of your kws tight for Campaign 1?
Campaign 2 looks a little better but only 375 imp over 6 days? Look for more kws. |

Hi. Interesting thread. I am pretty new to this but it is also apparent to me that your CTR is only relevant if you are converting. Ok it might mean that you have a good AD but is it leading to actions? I think that this 'flow' is important. At the moment I am asking myself 'are there any suprises' etc... If you are getting a good CTR but no conversions then something is wrong. A user will click on an AD expecting something... Just my two cents. I'm new aswell. I think you are doing the right thing testing the water. i look forward to seeing how you do!!
