hello,
I just joined your forums and have been reading a lot of the stickies including the uber affiliate marketing guide and nickycake's newbie guide, and I have been wanting to start, but all of the affiliate networks( Neverblue, commissions junction, etc) have been rejecting my applications. they say that I need a site or at least some experience with AM before being approved, so my question is, where do I start? How can I start and gain experience with AM if all networks are rejecting my application? Also, I feel a little overwhelmed by all of the information that I have been reading from these forums and other blogs that I really don't know what to do after I am accepted to an affiliate network. did most of you guys just start choosing random offers and creating landing pages as soon as you thought you were ready? Or is there something more I can do before getting my feet wet? I am ready to learn from initial failures and lose some money, but I also want to be sure that I am heading on the right directions. thanks, and sorry for the newb questions. I just started AM this week, so a lot of my questions may sound extremely basic to all of you. |

116 views and no replies? Ok, Neverblue rejected me again. Should I just go with clickbank as of now and reapply when I get enough experience? I really want to start doing my campaigns following nickycakes guide but none of the networks are accepting me.

Yeah you have to call them up and always be honest with them. Never lie.
They will usually ask you what niches you are in. How you go about getting traffic. If you have a list and if so How big it is stuff like that. they are not afraid of new people they are just trying to protect themselves from fraud. |

If you are feeling overwhelmed, then I'd start with Clickbank first. It's a lot easier to navigate than most CPA networks interface and you will get your confidence up. You will get accepted instantly and can start straight away. That way you can get some experience in the most important part - marketing.

Hi there folks.
I'm a newb too and I was a little shocked that I got turned down from Copeac even after a phonecall with them. Everyone's got to start somewhere, right? I wanna make some loot for me, them and their clients so what's the problem? I sent a reply clarifying some things so hopefully they'll get back to me later today. It's pretty frustrating when you've read enough but just need some good offers to pimp, eh? Anyway, enough bitchin. Anyone got any other advice other than CB? |

PeerFly.com Affiliate Network - Taking You To New Heights! , Amped Media ? Your Affiliate Network Solution! - smaller networks than Hydra, Copeac, and the like but they have always paid me on time and are very easy to contact.

I'm assuming that most of you guys probably are at least aware of a few other more well-known affiliate marketers. You may read their blogs or whatever. A lot of the time you simply have to have the right connections. I would shoot someone you respect an email, tell them the situation you are in, tell them why you want in affiliate marketing, and just be yourself but informative. Then see if they can hook you up with an affiliate manager so you can get accepted to a network.
Shareasale seemed fairly easy to get into. That might be another that you look at. I would easily recommend them over clickbank which is primarily full of ebooks and things like that. |

Dont Commission Junction just take anyone? just show them a blog, they dont ask questions.
Others you get into no questions asked are Market Health and Affiliate Window (UK, more traditional progs, but good merchants and datafeeds). Also maybe DGM, Affiliate Future, Webgains, Zanox, Linkshare. These are mostly European affiliate networks, not CPA, but may be fine to get you started. After a couple of months with these apply to CPA networks and tell them you have some experience, put up a site or a few with the above. Of course you could just call them up now and lie... or simply sound keen, honest and hardworking, that would work with some, not with others - have a dummy landing page ready to populate with offers.

You should contact sites directly that manages there own affiliate program and that way you don't have to go thru a middle man like cj. The downside to that is you will more then likely have to meet the minimun payout requirements of the site before you are paid. Find a site that YOU like first of all and if you look to the bottom of the page they usually have an affiliate link.

pick an offer/niche
build a decent site related to it apply specifying the website you've just built answer the phone call or call them tell them your real situation, don't be afraid to tell them you need to be helped by an affiliate manager about how to drive traffic to your website.

Yeah, as everyone has said, build a quick site with a cheap domain name, get some basic content on there, and give them a call letting them know you've familiarized yourself with CPA and are interested in getting your foot in the door. There's a reason why most networks have a form to enter in your website. Make one, it's incredibly simple. Use a free wordpress template.
