Newbiealert Stay anonymous from reverse DNS lookup?
How do you guys stay anonymous (or at least close to anonymous) when buying a shit ton of domain names?

I used domaintools to find most of my main competitors' domains. I was wondering how to avoid allowing others to do the same on me.

Pen names? Create DBA?

Found some info..if you have any other suggestions, please share.

Here's what I found:

1. make friends with someone outside your country
2. create a pen name and do a google search to make sure that pen name isn't currently being used
3. register domain with pen name and address with person outside your country
4. host domain with server which is not tied to you (i.e., your name, company name, etc)
5. make your domains private
6. only have one important domain per IP address, and litter that IP with dummy sites
