Hi WF

I saw this guy posting a thread stating his website is Alexa ranked 417,917 with only 11 backlinks but is drawing 140,000 Monthly Unique Visitors thus earning $280 per month. WTF??!?!?

That guy is gonna sell his website and it seems people are interested...WTF??!

Yes, I admit I'm a noob but I find his description is BS or maybe I'm wrong.

Can someone enlighten me on this?? Btw WF alexa rank is 2593 so it means WF got 6 billions unique visitors? lol

Ehhh... Alexa rank is not very accurate..it measures people who use the Alexa toolbar so if your visitors aren't using it then you may have a shitty rank despite lots of traffic. Hard to believe that 140k uniques are coming on only 11 backlinks though. Sounds like the numbers are fixed.

I got a website with which has an Alexa rank of 20k going stable for a few months now and 90-150 daily uniques. Beat that

By the way, do you all use compete.com unique visitors analysis? Or is there a better way to check a website stats?

Compete.com has the same problems as Alexa. I think they get their data from select ISPs. I think the data for both of them is pretty meaningless in anything above the 10,000 top websites.
