Do you know?

I have a site that is getting significant traffic that I am using for my affiliate offers and want to make a duplicate site with the same content.

I was told that google will drop my quality score to nothing if I do this.

Is this true? Will it matter for the other engines?

Shit dude if you use wordpress then go cop that WP-unique plugin and watch the video. what it does is just make the same content "appears" unique to the SE.

Yes you need to use unique content either hand written or hire someone to do it for you or the Big G with penalize you for it and may even sandbox your site and you may never see it again for 3-6 months

Since you mention QS, I read this as a PPC question, not organic. If so, I've seen MANY stolen landing pages & content run on campaigns for months. So the truth would be, no problem ... but I've got a long history of adwords kicking my ass.

If it's seo, just cut and splice the content with other content and move on with your life. Content doesn't have to be 100% unique to rank ... 40% is ok, 60% works great.

just move the html tags around and you'll be fine. (you can reposition it all back with css later anyway.)

contrary to popular belief google spiders are dumb as fuck. and thats coming from my blackhat se0 background

you have to ask yourself the question "have i ever seen duplicate content ranked twice before?", like twice or more on the same serp? if yes you now know what to do.
