Sogay can you have to many keywords?

I've loaded the header of one of my websites with a sizable list (at least sizable to me) of keywords.

Can you have to many? I don't want to risk anything like Google ignoring important ones or anything like that.

Thanks for your help guys, as always.

It won't ignore them, if the page is indexed it'll show up when those words are searched, but I guess you'd be bringing down the kw density of that page for specific terms if you're loading it with many.

By header, are you talking about the title tag? That I'd say is fine. If you're talking about meta keywords or something, Google suggests a certain number somewhere in the webmaster guidelines but meta tags hardly matter.

Use the most relevant keyword in your title, description etc so that it increases your ranking but don't unnecessarily stuff them with keywords. Use the relevant ones only.

All the keywords are relevant to my site I just have a lot for my homepage. My subpages though use specific keywords directly related to the article published.

CTRate has a spectacular aura about
Use a KEI checker to find your keyword density such as this: Keyword Density Analyzer tool for search engine optimization and internet marketing experts

Then do a google search on "recommended keyword density" - that should let you know what to do.
