An inspirational read. I just have around 1 year or so and I need to come up with some serious cracking idea to pay of a Huge Educational Loan I took. I am into SEO but seems like I will have to make a lot more money to get out of debt. I will keep a watch on this thread. Good Read..!!

OK, I am back. Yes, I wrote a blog post and took it down because I am not interested in lawsuits at the moment. I have spent tens of thousands on lawyers in the last couple years and it is just not worth the bullshit. There was more going on here then you all may think and this thread is not about the Jon/Moe internet UFC fight night.
Lets get back to the case study: I dropped the MMA / UFC website idea. I have come to the conclusion that you only have so much time in the day. I can only focus on 2 website and that is LoanSafe.org and MoeBedard.com. Yes, I procrastinate and suffer from everything everyone else does, but I also end up making a decision and sticking with it. You have to be adaptable and not afraid to make moves or changes at any time. My revised case study is to take MoeBedard.com to $10,000 per month in one years time. Revenue will be earned from Adsense, affiliate offers and my own SEO/Blog services to a select clientele. I plan to approach a specific niche to help them with their SEO and social media. I am talking UFC and extreme sports that are gig here in the Inland Empire. I want to pick up a couple big accounts and I think I can. More on that later. On MoeBedard.com we will jsut be spending time getting content on there. Tutorials, videos and articles. It will be a work from home website and will cover everything from adsense to uploading a wordpress theme. As far as traffic from WF, yes, I hope I do get some regular readers who would like to follow me and what I do. Everything I do is for a reason. But I am hoping to provide the community with some value which will in turn produce quality traffic. It is a win/win for us all. There is not much I do on life that is not planned or calculated. |

I'm sure it will still be an entertaining read nonetheless, as a lot of us do consultant work and it's always nice to see the numbers behind the jobs. But if you could keep the numbers separate in your writeups about your progress, that would be helpful for those hoping to make money off of their own blogs/sites through adsense and other revenue streams. Good luck. |

I would have definitely followed a thread/blog about building a content site about mma or whatever. But now it looks like the content site will be an MMO content site, which kind of makes me snore almost as much as John Chow and Shoemoney.
I mean no disrespect to any of you, but christ - build something worth building. MMO has been done to death. |

Hard Work Is The Answer

Looks like Moe's done in here and hasn't updated his MB.com site in a while.. not surprised.
There is a positive take-away here though. When I first started doing anything online it was w/ adsense 4 years ago and I hated it because I'd make 0.25 cpc's. Eventually I found affiliate marketing and the rest is history BUT after reading this thread and checking out Moe's LoanSafe site I decided to throw adsense onto a few old domains I haven't touched in years and I'm regularly getting $1.50+ cpc's for the last 3 weeks. These sites get tier 1 search traffic and I think that plays into higher CPC's then other types of traffic. This is something I didn't realize when I first started. Anyways, although this case study seems to have died - if you were planning on following it, just jump in and test shit. Pull out your old domains, get some articles written and see what happens. Can't hurt. And I have to thank this thread for the inspiration to take 5 minutes to put adsense on a few old sites I was doing nothing with. |
