gummybear has a spectacular aura about
Ppc Landing page questions

I've only done PPC direct linking affiliate marketing so far and I'm looking to develop more skills.

I've seen a lot of people recommend the PPC strategy of my LP -> merchant LP -> buy page.

Now most LPs I've seen are in the form of a single webpage long sales letter. It seems like this format is popular because it works. It's basically everywhere and seems universally strong.

However, let's say that your merchant's LP is already in this format (like with scammy clickbank products). If you also do this for your LP, it seems a bit redundant--two long sales letters. So for example, instead of this, you could have an article that reviews the product and then links to the merchant's LP.

So my questions are:
+ What makes the long sales letter format so good?
+ And when should you not use the long sales letter?

Examples of what I'm talking about:
