Orly Tired of Not Succeeding

Hi!

I am not excatly a newbie, but as far as my earnings go - I definitely am...
I tried selling products in several niches but can't get almost ANYONE to take our their credit card, no matter what I do.
In CPA marketing I was able to see some action so I tried opening a gaming site where people download games for free and it didn't work at all (not sure why, since they are looking for free games)...

So.. I am not sure what to do anymore. Love this but really am tired of not succeeding.

When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,

When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don't you quit.

i know it's cheesy and all but this never fails to get me up whenever i'm down

It sounds like you did get a few conversions. Maybe you just need to get
back to the basics.

1. Get targeted traffic with long tail phrases.
2. Convince them to click through your site to the merchant.
3. Scale up.

Do you know how much I earned per hour on average for the first 6 months I did IM? Can you guess?

10 cents. 10 cents per hour. The first 3 months I probably averaged 1 or 2 cents per hour. Because I had to figure out a way to do things I had no idea about. Now I make a fulltime living from IM and all my former coworkers who used to laugh at me for it now want to suck my balls so I'll teach them. The way I got from a few cents a day to a couple hundred dollars a day was this: whenever something wasn't working I changed it and found something else that worked better. It's not a matter of "Ok, this works so now I'm successful". You've got to always be ready to modify your approach to improve your results.

That struggle will never stop. Yeah, I've got a couple hundred bucks a day coming in but there are guys on here doing 10 or 20 times more than that.

Thank you for that Bombastic, the only thing I need to know is how to improve... because I try doing things better and try different methods but nothing gets things going.

Sounds like you did a lota SEO. Try running your offers through paid traffic first, then when you see some conversions work on the SEO side of things. If you can't afford paid traffic, just get a job. No joke, it'll motivate you to spend wisely and learn faster.

Actually Juntao65, I advertise mostly via PPC. It is amazing because the same site gets organic traffic and paid traffic, the organic traffic spends time (not buying) but the paid traffic bounces right back.

I can afford paid traffic but I don't know why it won't stay & convert... tried every possible trick in the book I think: lots of quality content (or a little), big headlines, calls to action... I don't get it.

Have you done split testing?

This. Lot easier to get a lead than get someone taking their credit card out spending.

Tezza - Yes, I am currently only trying things in the LEAD GEN area...
Hav3n - I did a lot of split testing, all different versions didn't work

(pileofcrap - I didn't ask any questions, and yes, I have tried many different niches)

Of course leadgen brings up a whole new piece. Since leads have a lot smaller return, you can't do the multi-dollar clicks on PPC. You need to either find a bunch of cheaper longtails or go to sites like facebook.
