Hi everyone! I have been a lurker for the past few months and as soon as my 9 credits of classes are over on July 29, I am going to start my second campaign. I have done a small one before with some adwords credits but put it on hold before it cost me too much money! I work full time in IT as an intern at the moment. I'm going to graduate from Penn State in December. From Pittsburgh PA. I've always been entrepreneurial and I believe that I will never work harder for someone else than I will for myself. Oh and I'm 21
Looking forward to contributing, learning, and networking. |

A last-minute-search-for-boob pics killed the my first intro. Yes, I know that a couple of those chicks were kinda ugly, but a pair of titties is still a pair of titties. For real!
Anyhow, all about me: I've been a raging workaholic, software developer for 10+ years, am based out of the S.F. Bay Area, from Chicago originally. Went to school for comp sci, built a Software-as-a-Service from scratch, been a consultant, spent 3 years in hell as the co-founder of a start-up (still own piece of it). In a nutshell, when it comes to tech, I've been through the mill AND the grindstones. I'm completely new to Affiliate Marketing, learned of its existence 2 months ago(?), and since then have been learning at a meteoric rate. When I pursue things, I tend to go overboard, so I'm pretty confident that I'll do well in AM. This industry as a whole intrigues the hell of out me; the personalities, the marketing, the hustle, the competition -- everything. It will be real interesting to see where it is 2 or 5 years from now. So, greetings Wicked Fire! |

Hi all,
I'm Darryl, 25 years old, attending university in Montreal (B.Comm majoring in Accounting). I have been avidly reading the threads here on Wickedfire, along with Nicky Cakes. I plan to continue reading for the next week or so, before taking the plunge and learning through running my own campaigns. Best of luck to all the fellow newbies! |

Monkey Business
|
Hey guys.
I am 29 years old, got a computer science degree right after high school due to some life adventures and misadventures I have ended up working in a job that does not let me use my degree to the fullest. I started working on adult marketing as an experiment and my idea fell flat on its face. I do want to make money but I also enjoy the creative side of online marketing. I still consider myself a newbie since my last campaign I spent $800 and made $450. Since then I have been reading a lot, which is how I heard about this place. I will be trying some new ideas shortly but in the normal affiliate business, not adult. |

Hey guys,
Looking forward to participating in this forum. So far it looks like a great place to be. I hear you man. I'm working a part time job and doing free lance web design on the side. Feels like I'm getting no where. Maybe one day my affiliate sites will take off and I'll be able to eat and pay the bills lol. |

Hello to all.
My name is Brandon, I have just recently started getting into trying to make money online and have certainly found that there is just as much if not more business in learning how to do business than the direct business itself. Meaning that there are probably ten times the people that will sell you a method than there are actual methods. I have just started using twitter and am looking to learn more about that, but anything white or at least grey hat that will make me some money I am interested in. Well anyways, looking to make some money and have some fun doing it. Hope to learn a lot here and meet some good people. GL HF! |

Wow, I've been a part of this forum for over a month and I hadn't introduced myself D:
I'm Laura, as you may have guessed from my username. I'm 22 years old, currently studying my fourth year of Advertising at Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano (in Bogotá, Colombia) and most interested in the aspect of creative development/copywriting. I work part time as a link-builder/blogger/copywriter. I joined this forum hoping to learn more about Marketing in general, because to be honest... I took a class on Basic Marketing and felt that it was lackluster. And, well, I'm not willing to spend my credit taking more courses on the subject when I should be taking Photography, Creative Writing... I am here to drink from the fountain of knowledge, so to speak. Haha. Nice to meet you all. Don't hesitate to PM me if you want to be friends with me _________________________ Affordable website design |

Hello from New WickedFire Member
Hi. My name is Tony and I’m new to affiliate marketing. I heard about WF on a podcast, I think, and decided it would be worthwhile to register. I’m sure I'll be coming back regularly for guidance as I advance from start-up to successful business.
I’ve been reading, listening, and watching affiliate marketing information for a few months now and feel like a have a pretty good grasp on the fundamentals, but haven't yet decided on any merchants, offers, or specific niches to target initially. My wife and I own one of the largest online scrapbook stores in the US, but in Spring '09 we decided that she would run that business while I diversify our income into another area. I decided affiliate marketing would take advantage of a lot of my strengths and interests. My background is in sales, negotiating, account management, customer service, strategic planning, and finance. My professional experience is as a mortgage lender for 7 yrs, followed by 10 yrs as a Business Manager (i.e. sales, finance, & account mgmt) for a global software company, followed by the last 2 yrs working at our online scrapbook store. I'm also president of my Homeowners' Association and have sat on HOA Boards for the last 16 yrs - most often as President. I have a pretty solid knowledge of AdWords from running our campaigns at our online store which should help in this new field. Next step is to pick a niche, find some decent affiliate offers that fit, start writing content, "go live" with the site, and then start testing AdWords traffic. Easier said than done, right? I hate being new to a board and having so little posts, its always a bit like coming in late to a conversation. I've been lurking here for a solid few months now as well, but I'm definately ready to start contributing. Its great to see how many people join this site every month! I'm 25 in Cali.
