I picked up what I consider to be a pretty sweet local domain for restaurants. It's "restaurants city state abbr.com" example: "restaurantstacomawa.com". According to google kw tool it gets anywhere between 10k and 15k(depending if you use the old or new one) exact searches/mo. I've read through all the local stuff on here and I have some ideas brewing, but I wanted to see what some of you guys thought the best way to use this domain would be. Directory?, Information site with advertising?, maybe use it to build a list and then charge restaurants to send out a daily coupon deal? What do you think has the most potential?

Depends on how much time you want to spend on building it. I would try to put a local restaurant directory along with some articles (restaurants have special days, actions, promotions etc.) SEO the shit out of it, get some traffic, sell ad places to restaurants.

thanks for the advice houdas. for the directory part, do you mean scrape a bunch of restaurant listings from yp's or something?

I was thinking to get started immediately I am going to throw up WP write a few kw rich articles and then start seo'ing to get some traffic coming in. If i decide to change the format in the future, will that mess with any rankings I might have gotten?

I'd use something like Yellow Pages Scraper - Scrape directory listings from yellowpages.com or UBot Studio - Marketing Automation Bot Creation Software would probably do it also.
