I found a seemingly good keyword with low competition and 12k exact match global searches per month, but with nothing listed under local monthly searches.
I realize that local searches refer to my country only (US), but this key phrase is something I would expect US searchers to search for as well as global. Should I take into account that there are no local monthly searches when assessing the value of this keyword? I will mostly be targeting US based visitors with affiliate offers. I bought an exact match domain a week ago and it currently ranks #10 with no backlinks and hardly any content. I'm also not getting any traffic. ![]() Do you guys think it is worth continuing my SEO efforts for this keyphrase? |

It is tough to say without knowing the keyword (I don't expect you to give it out). Still though, I think if you see that many global searches and you think the keyword/product/service is sold in the United States just as effectively as overseas then I think it is worth a shot. Take a peak at the competitors though and ensure that they are US based companies. This might be a good indicator especially if there is some age on the top competitors. Good luck!
