Question Am I coverd from lawsuits just with a disclaimer page

Is a disclaimer page all we need to protect affiliate marketers from lawsuits? I mostly use WP blog sites to promote affiliate stuff. I havent added a disclaimer page yet or privacy page to my blogs will be googleing for a decent template to use. Will just that added page in my blogs be enough? Do I have to add some highlighted text in the main page telling the visitor to go to it or will just adding a disclaimer page be enough?

Sure, sure. If you do not like some law you can just disclaim it! Why do we even have laws?

I am sure you have heard of all sorts of disclaimers, contracts and laws struck down by courts all the time?

Understand applicable laws, look at the current practices / safe harbors, engage an attorney if you are doing anything risky and want to be absolutely safe and sure.

For now I am just adding a page called Disclaimer to the top navigation or to the sidebar and hope its enough for now. I got a descent disclaimer sample from a google search all they want is to leave a few link backs to there sights intact. The sample is regarding web site owners.

Adapting disclaimers from sites promoting similar products is a good first step. But you still should try and understand the legal implications and risks of whatever you are selling.
