Question The tools/softwares/services must-have for an online entrepreneur

Hi guys,
What are some must-have tools/softwares that you would absolutely buy? The purpose is to do keyword research, competition analysis, create websites(wordpress based), promote them and track the traffic/conversions etc.

I have some on my list, I have only used Thesis and feel pretty comfortable with mucking around the PHP code (Java programmer by profession but can find my way around PHP just as easily). Haven't tried the rest of the ones on the list but have read/heard good things about them.

1. Thesis theme/framework - the best in customizable wp themes if you know your way around CSS and PHP
2. Market Samurai - keyword research, competition analysis?
3. Scrapebox
4. UBot Studio
5. SeNuke
6. LinkVana

What's your favorite and why?

I have a budget close to $500 and mainly interested in purchasing software that I pay once and get life time upgrade and support.

Would love to see what are the must-haves in your opinion.

Thanks

PS: I totally understand that just tools are not going to make me successful but they certainly help.

Market Samurai IMO is a must!! I have been using the new wordpress silo plugin which seems to be working really well on my sites--and I wouldn't waste your time going to the main page--I got it here and it came with some kick ass bonuses. Another great tool that was launched today (I got to beta test it and it's AWESOME!) is the SEO Pressor--and that one is seopressor.org.

Use Market Samurai for research, build sites with Thesis.

After you have built 3-5 sites, get SE Nuke.

When you feel really rich, get Linkvana for that extra boost.

Never tried Scrapebox and Ubot, so no idea how they fit into the picture. I hire people to do my work instead of automating them.

Probably a good idea to automate automate-able tasks somewhere down the line but definitely a good idea to practise doing those yourself first so you know where it's easy to screw up.

Thanks kingscotty38! Yeah those are good.

Thanks wickedjugg! I'm trying to find the common denominator to make sure that it's kinda of no-brainer to buy those tools. Thesis and Market Samurai are among them. Link Building - Link building Services implies that users are not getting their money's worth, not sure if that's true?

About SENuke, are there other contenders in this category or SENuke is IT?

Agree on doing studd on my own to know them well before automating them. Kinda like dreamweaver is not going to solve all web design problems if you don;t have a web design sense and good knowledge of HTML.

SERPAssist is a pretty new tool. It's nice, but a little limited for now.
