Nathan has a spectacular aura about
Web 2.0

Gimick or new standard?

If you are into it, what advantages does it give you?

If you're not, what do you dislike about it?

If you don't know what it is, can someone explain it?

I really like the designs, they seem much more user friendly, but otherwise it just seems like a buzzword that means all things.

Minimalistic or user friendly?

What is your favourite looking web 2.0 site?

That's a good question. Here are a few I like:

www.flickr.com
www.skype.com
http://9rules.com/
http://www.iconbuffet.com/

This design caught some flack, but I like it:

http://www.techcrunch.com/

So what makes them WEb 2.0 sites? The larger font? The modern looking icons? The layout? What I mean is what puts them into that category?

WHy did techcrunch's design get flack?

I think everything you said, boils down to "friendly looking", in my opinion anyway.

The TechCrunch got flack because of all the space for advertising I think.

That's the style I go for when I hire designers, but I've only bought a couple of designs. Definitely something I want to spend more money on in the future.
