basically, I have started adwords campaign but getting very low impressions like maybe 5 a day. This started happening when I began using phrase matching, and lot of negative keywords (free, cheap, affordable)

Before I was doing this, I was using broad matching, no negative keywords. Of course, I was spending around 1~1.50 a click, but I landed a few clients within 24 hours of starting the adwords campaign.

Am I using too much filtering or is it time to choose another niche ? (my current niche is programming services).

Thanks y'all.

some technique Blueprint:
1. Do a search on Google for some of the main keywords in your market.
2. Make a list of all the top 10 site for each keywords.
3. Look for blogs or website that sell adveryising space (adsense ads).
4. Buy an Adwords placement targeting ad spot on blog/website to ger your ad amongst the Adsense ads. Bid high to have your ad occupy the whole Adsense block, get the high CTR, then lower you bid after one or two weeks.

To set up Adwords Placement Targeting, go to Settings in your Adwords acc, scroll down the page and you`ll see option to choose how to advertise your offer. Choose Content network and choose "Relevant pages only on the placements i manage". This allows you to target specific site to advertise on!
