$1000posts, in addition to being an illegal variable name (variables can't start with numbers) is misleading because the array looks like it should either have 1000 slots each representing 1 post, or 1 slot representing 1000 posts.

Either way your loop would only execute 1 or 1000 times, and not 17 times as it did above.
