What is Yahoo Answers?

Yahoo! Answers (Formerly known as Yahoo! Q & A) is a community-driven question-and-answer (Q&A) site launched by Yahoo! on July 5, 2005 that allows users to both submit questions to be answered and answer questions asked by other users. Basically anyone who needs reliable and fast answers can post a question on the site. The community is extremely huge so you get many answers almost instantly.

What do I need these accounts for?

Level 2 accounts can be used to advertise or drive traffic to your site. Posting a link using a newly created Level 1 account will make your link unclickable and you have less reputation in the community.
