Indeed, by 2013 there should be 1.78 billion PCs and 1.82 billion Internet-enabled phones in the market. Beyond that landmark, the mobile web will steadily continue to eclipse desktops until the traditional web is second tier.

The .mobi extension was created by Google, Microsoft, Nokia, Samsung, Ericsson, T-Mobile, Visa, etc... in 2006 as the only mobile specific domain. Because search algorythms favor mobile content on searches done on mobile browsers and because having a domain/ page title that is an exact match for a search query is a sure fire way to get to the top of the SERPs fast, getting in on generic, keyword .mobi domains is a no brainer.

This way, you can bypass .com and essentially reset the clock back to 1995, when people were snatching up all of the good, generic, commercial domains.

This represents a once in a generation opportunity.

I aquired a number of geotargeted, DUI Law related .mobis a while back and have been too busy to do anything with them. They have high monitization potential, but law bores me to tears and I think I would rather just sell them.
