What is google +1 and how it can affect my SERP.

Google +1 is similar to facebook likes. but google dominance in web search put it well above facebook likes.

When a user clicks on +1 button on your website. you get a link in his profile page which is usually PR7 + Google gets a hint that your website has something useful.

Google will give instant priority to your website on search made by contacts for the relevant search terms and later to everyone.

Google +1 for your website.

@Dresden14: More Number of posts doesn't mean you can abuse anyone. Think before you comment. not even single google +1 in my package is done by bot or program.

I got a review copy from techtalk.

For this to be most effective IMO, the +1s should be given thru your KW search, then find the target site, then SURF the SITE, THEN +1 the site. I wouldn't think a +1 by a direct visit, or by google-ing the URL would be as effective....Google is way smarter than this.

^^ I understand that...just suggesting that your people follow the steps above for +1's - maybe in the future - it would appear more natural than a direct visit, +1, then leaving site. The method described above would add some "relevance" of the +1 to the KW they searched for to +1 the site.

It will have impact on SERP for sure. But nobody knows google SERP algorithm. Every google +1 vote on your website will create a entry with description and link. it should have impact.

But how you get these +1 really matter. Lot of google +1 services pop up which offers it for free and cheap. but they will not have user visiting your website to give +1 votes. Votes are usually generated in some third party websites which give 1000's of +1 on signle day which might raise google eyebrows.

In my system, user types in url in browser and click on google+1 button.
our KW search program is as close to natural +1 you can get.

It seems that Google is actually removing any +1′s that were not given from the original site. For example if your site is “myspace.com” and you got a +1 from “youlikehits.com” then your +1′s will probably be removed today.

That's why we never adopted google+1 by automated way through third party websites. manual google+1 rocks.
