Well, it isn't exactly unrealistic, i'm sure you'll find someone desperate enough to make it for fifty bucks. The only thing you won't have is a great service, and trust me, some freelancers just aren't reliable and will give you lots of unneccesary headaches.

I have a guy I used who charged me $100 to take my design and convert it over to WP. I could have sat around for a day screwing with it myself, but I was more than happy to pay him.
