Why are my prices higher than others on DP?

This is because I offer a professionally and completely unique article.
I am not a 1 cent per word "spinner." I do research on every article I write, taking little by little from multiple sources. If I am not knowledgeable on a certain topic, I research, read, and then write using what I have gained from my research. I will never reuse an article I have previously written. You will never get "spun, flipped or copied" content. I take my time on writing, but attempt to give reasonable turn around times. Depending on my schedule, a 500-word, hand-typed article will take a little under an hour after revision ON A SLOW DAY. I give you only originality and professionalism, as well as original character in all my writing. For a freelance writer, 3.5 cents a word is an inexpensive option for those unable (or unwilling) to write their own professional publications.

Why not just post a sample for everyone to see? You're an unknown quantity here.

Also concur with the above posters. Teaching remedial ESL while you are yourself a 20-yo college student studying abroad in Thailand is not grounds for implying you are an English literature professor.

Professor implies advanced degree, as you well know. You are at best an instructor.

Yes, I teach ESL at a local Thai university (a very good one, however (Silpakorn University... Very well respected, and it reflects when I tell people I teach there)). I teach English reading, grammar, writing, spelling, pronunciation, and every other aspect of English. I think being a professor teaching ESL, as long as you aren't a lazy one like some of the teachers I've seen around here, is a difficult yet rewarding job. I must encompass all aspects of English into my lesson plans, or the students will fail to pick up anything I am saying or gain any real use from it. I teach basic introductory English courses to 4th year advanced courses specializing in perfecting the students' grammar. It's a lot of work, but the connections and the benefits of it on any career applications I fill will leave a lasting impression.

Sorry if I mislead anyone.

The Thai university summer break actually starts this week, so I am looking for more work with the added free time. I will continue to tutor a few people here and there, but it won't pay the bills.

Ah, I've got my translation mixed up then. Instructor Justin is fine, then. However, it is not remedial English. Like I've stated, I do teach remedial English to newer students being introduced to the language, however, I also teach intensive 4th year courses meant to perfect their English as much as possible before they enter their careers.

Here's a sample. It was to persuade people into buying a script that would forward 404 error pages to another page on their website.

You click ‘back’ on your browser. You click the second link that advertises in the topic “Buy your (insert product name) here!” Fantastic! Found just what you were looking for, right? Wrong, once again. The link takes you to an error page. You back out. On the 3rd link you find the product and a “Buy Now” logo. Filling out the detail forms and your credit card information, you are on your way to purchasing that product.

Who is in trouble here? The consumer got his product, losing little time clicking only 3 links. However, imagine you are the webmaster of page number two. Why aren’t you getting any sales on that product? You could have sworn you were listed on the first search page for the keywords that would link to that page. You test it yourself. There you are, just like you thought in slot number two. You click the link. What do you get? Three numbers: 4 – 0 – 4.

404 is the codename given to a page that cannot be found on a website. A 404 error will state several reasons why it may not be accessible. Your first clue to problems and why you may have found an error code lie in those three numbers themselves. The first 4 is an indicator that can point out the error may be client formed. Something you have done may be wrong, and may be causing the 404 error page to load. This could be misspelling a word in the URL or visiting a URL that doesn’t exist.

The 0 in 404 is in relationship to syntax; that is your text. Once again, this pertains to the possibility that you may have been linked to an incorrect URL address or that you have typed a URL incorrectly.

The final 4 in the 404 equation is the classifier upon what type of error message is displayed. There is the 400 error which is caused by bad requests, as well as a 401 error which applies when you attempt to access web pages that you do not have proper permissions to view or alter.

Several other reasons may exist as to why your URL is picking up a 404 error. Fault can sometimes be put to blame on a website’s host. While updating a server, a host can trigger a 404 error. These problems are common, and a big nuisance for webmasters running on unreliable servers, another source of the 404 error page problem.

In most cases, however, a 404 error can be put to blame on a webmaster themselves. If a webmaster is substantially messier with his folders, html and other web programming files, a 404 error may come up with the slightest nudge of a file. If you accidently take that product linked page and drag it into your images folder, you are in immediate trouble. The whole URL of that webpage is completely changed. For example, if your product page is originally “domainname,com/123.html” and you accidently drag the file into the images folder, it will look like "domainname,com/images/123.html”. Any search engines that may have linked to the previous page will now link to an empty 404 error page. Also, anything linked to your original domain, even on your own web site, will link to an error page instead of your intended URL. Because many webmasters fail to check their own links, even the ones placed brightly in their sidebars, they fail to miss that they could be gaining invaluable traffic.

In some instances, the webpage you are requesting really doesn’t exist. This will, in effect, cause a 404 error to be expanded across your internet browser. Some webmasters may unintentionally delete a web page. This is especially true for webmasters that don’t practice web neatness, using proper folder systems to organize their website’s files. Chances are that if they fail to practice good folder safety, they probably don’t have a backup for their deleted files. In cases like this, whole pages may have to be reprogrammed, rewritten and rescripted. A webmasters hard work went in the trash unknowingly due to his own hands.

A slight change in a file name will request a 404 error if the links are not repaired to point to that URL. This is, once again, a reason webmasters that are “dirty” really fail at producing a productive, money making website. While some name changes are required or necessary to rank better in search engines for keywords, if a webmaster is ignorant to the fact that all links pointing to the old page name will be broken without further changes, a 404 error will continue to be returned until this problem is fixed one way or the other.

Another reason messy webmasters get many 404 errors on their pages is because their domain registration may expire. For you webmasters running a successful website, this is a huge issue. What if your domain expires without you renewing for a week because you were out on vacation? What do you do when a smart domain buyer picks up that domain when they realize your domain expired? There is nothing you can do after the fact, because the answers need to come before this happens to you. Always keep track of these statistics.

What do these mean to you, the webmaster? You are losing money from any and every possible source of income you could generate from your website. Those broken links might contain submission forms that get you 20 dollar leads. Those leads will drop to a dead stop. Any CPC or CPM advertising you had activated on that page will create no more flow. Your PPC campaigns will get clicks to a dead link. Do you really want to be losing money from your pocket because of such a silly mistake like this?

So a 404 error is an unfriendly reminder that something is wrong with your website. Because it is most likely your fault, you will need a way to fix this. You are losing precious revenue from any page that is returning this 404 error. Fix those dead links and get your traffic back, today.
