50 cents a post is an awful lot. I have always said there is room for a high-end paid posting service out there, but your posts better be consistently good, because ho-hum average or even mediocre-to-middling posting goes for probably half that price.

Thanks. That's what I am hoping to accomplish.
After running http://paidpostingreviews.com I realized that cheaper doesn't mean better.... it's usually the opposite. Posting companies hire 14 year old kids from India and Pakistan to post for pennies. However the posts end up being horrible as they barely understand English.

I was able to hire quality posters with college educations. However, I can only justify paying them by making those prices.

kyleirwin... 4 posts for $5 is a trial. Paypal takes $.50 from it. Then it takes me a good amount of time to find the specialized poster etc. If you are interested in just a budget posting service obviously my plans aren't for you. If you are in a tight budget you should actually just be posting yourself.

yeah samples would be nice as your prices are really high, but quality > quantity is important.

A few more suggestions... Don't have hardcoded limits. If you have quality posters they should understand how forums work. If every post is an essay it comes across as stilted and phony. Sometimes people make short comments as part of a discussion. Make sure posters are participating and in the flow and not just posting to a wall.

Also be careful with imposing topics/reply ratios. Most ratios I have seen are out of whack with what you see in normal active forums. Certainly an empty forum needs more topics, but I have seen people looking for 5 to 1 ratios on forums with a decent number of topics, and it is the wrong way to go. If you look at the posts here the ratio is around 10 to 1. From memory that seems to be on par with other active forums. So don't get caught up i n a 5 to 1 ratio, for example, as it makes the forums feel unnatural.

aeiouy, thanks for the advice. I agree with it... that's why my posters do make smaller posts... they just don't count towards the post count. And I also agree with the reply/thread ratio and that's why I don't have one.

Glad to see quality still counts! It's also good to see someone cares about everyone benifiting, even the poster, instead of just the forum and the middle man.

If you can't post samples, how about a forum that has one of your packages and give us the user name of the paid poster if the forum owner doesn't mind? I can see why they might, just an idea. Maybe offer a fourm a free package to use the forum in your promotions?
