Haha, indeed. Only suggestions I have: make sure you keep on top of your overselling and server load, don't sacrifice support, and don't use modernbill.

I got my introduction to web hosting when I got brought in as a summer student for a guy who ran a web hosting company and a backup services company, to sort out all the accounts that modernbill fucked up. Their paypal module was (and maybe still is) awful. I kept having to check whether a subscription payment was sent and modernbill didn't pick it up. So why did we insist on using paypal? Well, sometimes modernbill wouldn't send out invoices or charge credit cards if it didn't feel like it.

After digging through the books and having a talk with the boss over beers I was thoroughly dissuaded from setting up a hosting company. Then three years later I got seduced by WHMCS + Virtualmin. Fortunately my friends brought me to my senses. Also, the WHMCS support for Virtualmin sucked, they even recently took it off their 'supported' list, yet left in LXadmin. Remember, the hosting panel that resulted in the rooting of 4,000+ VPSes, and the panel author committed suicide shortly after? Yeah..

It's no easy task to be competitive in this field. I know for a fact that subigo probably makes shit every month off of the VPS I have with him. Especially with giving me DirectAdmin at no extra charge, and providing support.

If you don't have some balls I doubt you can make some decent money considering the choices out there.
