i just had to pass cus its a nightmare development and promotion wise because there's a ton of competition due to a lot of packaged ebay clone scripts around. Plus i'm not really a coder for hire.

before you go crap your pants and pull out the ALL CAPS... here's something constructive.

if you haven't figured out the major flaws of your idea above they are:

1) you need sellers willing to sell at ridiculously low prices (what's their incentive?) in order to entice bidders to pay for the privilege of bidding.

2) you need buyers willing to pay up to a set amount - there's no action here until the last few bids... that's when it all becomes chance (see thread post contests). how are you going to entice someone to place those first bids (and pay to do so) if there is no chance of them winning - there's no incentive.

supply and demand falls in here somewhere - you have no supply of dirt cheap items people are interested in and at the prices people would be willing to sell their stuff for you have no demand.

if you have solutions for these issues - then you didn't really share your full idea with me and i did you no harm sharing it above. If you don't have solutions for those issues, then your idea is shit and see my above post (read: the idea is shit).
