4.0 brings some great new features to the table - the most notable of which are support for WordPress "pages" as well as "posts" (as far as I know the only review plugin on the market that works with pages), Bayesian weighted ratings, and a completely re-done auto-embedding system that absolutely kicks ass.

Hi Louis. WP Review Site has supported both posts and pages since day one, as well as Bayes weighted ratings.

Nice update though. I'd definitely recommend WFReview or WPRE for WF members; WPRS doesn't have any grey/blackhat features like generating comments or importing scraped comments.

How does the licensing work for your review plugin? Looking at a multiple site license for development of client sites. Asking because of confidentiality issues - do you have to register each site with your plugin? That was one of the reasons I had to stay away from the other review plugin, though everything looked good and it seemed very functional, just couldn't do it because of that issue. Thanks, not looking for a review copy or anything, I have no problem purchasing it, just wanted to clear this issue up. Appreciate it.

okay so here's my review:

I don't have a lot of experience w/ review plugins so forgive me if I state the obvious at all, all my current review sites are just html.
The ease of use is insane, I could hire a clueless outsource worker to make sites with little instruction and I don't think they'd have a problem. It even comes with themes bundled in the package so there is no reason to not instantly start making review pages/sites. This plugin is also extremely feature rich, one of my favorites so far is the Bayesian Ratings option which prevent new reviews to have skewed rankings. I haven't tried out the csv importer yet but it looks like a very promising and great tool. You can make very nice and neat review pages in a matter of minutes with this plugin, if you're in the review page market buying WPReviewEngine can save you hours and hours of development time (and headaches) which makes it well worth the price.

The day before this was released, Refrozen had shot me into the WPRE direction for a project that I'm working on as he said it would do everything that I needed it to do.

I must say that I'm quite impressed at how easy this is to use. Also, the themes included as well as the documentation has everything that you need to get running with WPRE powered review sites.

The ratings system is really simple and the backend is clean, yet powerful enough to give you complete control over your review website. WPRE is definitely very user-friendly.

The auto comments generation is a nice touch, and worked pretty well when I used it. You can even select certain genders to post and edit the name list for male and female names used when generating comments. Not to mention having control over the user review.

I didn't have the chance to test out the CSV importer as that is not where my main concentration is at the moment with review sites. However, it looks like something that I can put to use once I finish up some of my current projects to allow for time to test out that feature and what kind of sites that I can populate with that.

WPRE makes it easy as hell to create several review websites. For this reason, the license for unlimited websites is a must for anyone that likes to scale projects. I honestly wouldn't ever consider not going unlimited, but that's all on you.

If you're looking for something to help you create a review website, this is what you need without a doubt. I will never let this slip away from me, instead it looks like I have some major building to do.

Great Plugin!
It's an all-in-one review site package. You wouldn't need anything except WP Review Engine 4.0 and some content to get your own review site started.
Seriously, it includes some really nice templates(WP themes) too (I used one of those itself and my site looks swanky).
It also includes a link cloaker for your affiliate URLs.
The plugin is really nice and easy to install/use. You could make multiple websites within minutes using WP Review Engine 4.0.
In short: WP Review Engine 4.0 is definitely worth the money and it is really as awesome as it is made to look in the sales pitch. I highly recommend this product for those who need and those who don't too. ;-)

I was lucky enough to receive a free copy of this awesome plug in, so here is my review:

Set up - Fucking easy. I think it took me a total of 10 minutes from download to having it up and ready for me to develop. The set up was extremely simple and documented well. It's just a matter of ftping a few folders to your server and activating the plugin and you're set. Not hard at all.

Usage - Using WPReviewEngine is a piece of cake. THe included theme is easily modified and if you have a basic understanding of PHP you can use it with any theme you'd like. Setting up reviews is a snap. Once I had it installed it was only a matter of minutes until I had products and their reviews set up. This plug in makes it all too easy to make a great looking review site. It takes care of anything you can possibly need. Adding extra review criteria is no problem. The ratings system is what anyone would need. It even has an option to auto populate comments, which as we know adds to a review site looking more credible.

I encountered no problems during the install and set up process, everything worked just as promised. This plug in makes a great looking review site as the themes that are included are very clean and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommended it to anyone who needs such a plug in to streamline the building of review sites. You'd be hard pressed to make as good a looking review site on wordpress without this plug in. Seriously, for the price and what it does, it a no brainer.

I'd like to elaborate on this for anyone reading.

With no understanding of PHP, CSS, HTML, or any sort of coding, you can use the plugin with any WordPress theme, not just the ones included.

You can even lay the reviews out like they are in the default theme with any theme.

All of this can be done from the administration area.

If you want to use the WPReviewEngine API to implement the plugin in a custom theme so you have 100% precise down to the pixel control over the display of the WPReviewEngine elements (star rater, ratings, custom fields, visit site button, post icons, etc.), then you need some PHP knowledge.

I am happy to provide assistance to those wishing to integrate the plugin into a custom theme using the API. I won't write the code for you, but I'll tell you what functions/API calls you need to make to get the relevant data and I will work with you or your programmer to get things working the way you want them.

As promised here is my review: This plugin rocks. It takes less than 10 minutes to set up a completely functional revenue ready website.

Anyone with basic link building skills who can't make money using the Wp-review plug-in should turn off their computer and choose a different career path.

These guys have given you everything you need to get started. This thing is a gold mine and will pay for itself 1000 times over. I'm considering doing a case study just to see how long it takes to go from 0 to profit using services found here on WF and this plug-in.

WP-Review is highly recommended to anyone who knows how to build links and is looking to build passive income streams.

I am a return customer of HBZSoftware.com. Both ReviewEngine and CSV Importer are worth what I paid for. I purchased the ReviewEngine Unlimited License a few months back and this is a very powerful software. Really easy to use. Come on, it is $169.95 for UNLIMITED license. I actually did shop around for a couple days before I decided I am going to go for ReviewEngine. ReviewEngine has more features than other review plug in, looks GREAT, one time price to use on unlimited amount of websites. Unless you want to pay a monthly fee or buy each addition license for $40 bucks. ReviewEngine is a way to go. Did I make money? Yes.

As for CSV Importer, Impressive! It is so easy to set up, all posts came out perfectly. The software made me smart just by using it lol. It took less than 5 minutes to set up my first job, once I saved my template, it takes me less than a minute to set up my 2nd job! I mean just look at the video yourself on the website.

Overall, I received great products and great support from HBZSoftware.com.

Somehow the dice rolled my favor and I received a review copy of WPReviewEngine 4.0. I'm really happy I did.

After downloading the plugin, I was able to set up a blog complete with hundreds of posts complete with affiliate products, customer comments, and star ratings within 13 minutes.

The only hiccup I ran into was getting the licensing setup to work, but it was a just me being stupid more than anything. When this happened, I just hopped on AIM and fired off a question to Louis. He set me straight and I was off to finish setting up my first WPReviewEngine 4.0 blog in no time. If an idiot like me can use this thing, anybody can.

I would totally recommend anyone add this to their arsenal of marketing tools, and make sure to get the Unlimited license because you're going to love setting these blogs up and you'll want to be able to set up more than one.

The code is unencoded, you can modify/translate everything.

Any WordPress theme can be used with the WPReviewEngine, it does not need to be specially prepared.

Alright, this plugin is easy as slicing cake Uploading, activating, done. Don't forget to save the license in to the php file or you get a redirect and have to rename the plugin folder to access the wp-admin again.

What I really like is the fact that I can now pump out TONS of review sites in a matter of time, which is absolutely fantastic. It lets me import data directly from a csv sheet, adding comments and stuff like that. What I like is that I can simply write one review and give the product my own rating without usercomments, that rocks.

Didn't tried the plugin yet with my own themes but I am sure that will work great. All in all a solid, well thought review plugin for wordpress. If you're into reviews you need to get this!

Just wanted to say that I bought WPReviewEngine 4.0 a few days ago, and created my first review website with it really fast.

The "CMS" like system to add custom data using wordpress custom fields works really well too.

I had to translate the theme in french and it was quite easy.

As others said, if you re into reviews, get this plugin !

For the feature improvements, maybe you could make translation of the table columns headings (Rank/Name/Rating) easier by putting this in an array in the config file ? Just a thougt.

Color schemes for the default theme would be awesome too.
