I feel horrible that I havent posted a review of this software yet. So here is a quick review on my wp smart tools.

First of all, refrozens sig says it all. you NEED this. This plugin in makes creating fake news sites and flog sites a breeze. I couldnt find any documentation when I first installed the plug in but I will say within about 10 minutes of just fiddling around it all came as a breeze. Everything works great showing accurate dates that are set through the plugin (I like to right news articles -1 or -2 days from current date) and geotargeting works great as well. So far I havent made a hell of a lot of money off the software but I havent had much time and Ive been working on a few other things.

On top of the easy geotargeting and dates I also love how easy it is to set up tracking for your page. I use google analytics myself and instead of having to edit each theme I have to enter the tracking script right into the plugin and Im set for any theme I use. I know that you can download a free plugin to do that, but the nice thing is this premium plugin does it all.

I apologize for a not very extensive review, like I said I havent had too much time to use the software and havent had a chance to fiddle around with some of the interesting features like conditional date ranges and google maps, etc.

The one added benefit I noticed is smart tools seems to include link engine basic in the package. This isnt about link engine so I wont bother reviewing it but I think it is awesome software as well.

Anyway, long story short I highly recomend this software to create great flog/fake news landing pages.

Not trying to mirror the above review, but I too have been short on time lately, family in town, couple projects I've been trying to finish up. That being said, Smart Tools is the fucking shit. I've been checking out Refrozen's sig for months now, wondering exactly how does Smart Tools make me more money? Now, I know.

If I wanted to bust out some flogs, farticles, and whatnot, super quick, without a bunch of custom coding and dicking about, this is the tool. Not being my main focus of interest, I decided to see how else I could use it. Hmm, how about exit popups to people leaving my product page offering a 25% discount. I mean shit, if they're leaving my product page, they were at least interested enough to look. How about we sweeten the pot a little? Yeah, took all of 5 minutes (cuz I looked for documentation I didn't need) to get it rigged, 3 25% off sales in the next 36 hours. That's three sales that were x'ing the fuck out of my site that this plugin saved.

So that right there is worth it. The google analytics pre-set for any theme/site is worth it, if you understand that time is money and the amount of time Smart Tools saves you. The anti LP theft part of plugin is pure genious as well, nothing like redirecting a thief's traffic back to your offer with the click of a checkbox. Geotargeting? Yep. Location specific content? Yep. Date specific for a sense of urgency? Yep.

And right now, I'm implementing Smart Tools on some local lead gen sites, and holy shit, my eyes are wide fucking open. But that's another review. Cuz I'm still sorting it out and it's going to be sick.

One last thing, if you're nooby noobistan, and you know how to install wordpress to your server (and if you don't either shoot yourself in the face or spend the hour googling it and testing it until you do) but don't really know much about affiliate marketing, well, buy this fucking sweet suite of tools and go thru the demo's, go put it up on a couple sites and test all the features, and you're going to know way more about affiliate marketing, in the trenches, than you did before. Way, way more. That's all for now. Sick fucking plugin, Joe. Let me know when you put something else on the market, I'll buy it sight unseen.

I really appreciate the glowing review, grindstone! I'm so glad you're having fun with it and getting something great out of the Smart Tools. I really hope other people follow in your footsteps here and see what I have to offer them.

I actually had someone ask me already if I paid for that review, and after reading it I really feel like I should have. I didn't, Grindstone said that all of their own volition!

Oh yeah cant believe I forgot exit popups and theft protection! Both awesome features. Oh and yes refrozen forgot to send out documentation and themes but he posted on here about it and when I emailed him to get that info he sent it to me in about an hour. Awesome support from refrozen...hey mistakes happen! The software works and that is what matters.

Agreed totally -- the exit popups are awesome (in the last week, I've managed to capture at least half a dozen sales that I would've otherwise lost, proof the plugin really pays for itself). Funny too with the theft protection; someone ripped off a landing page on one of my sites, but now I get a bunch of free traffic (at least until they figure out what's going on).

Refrozen, do you have any advice on using this successfully with autoblogs?

Well, most autoblogging software lets you add like a "footer" to your posts, so you could just toss in something like "Until [smartdate pattern='+1 day'], get [smartlink id='1'] for just $4.95." or something.

In 3.0 you can also specify exit popups and those per-post type things sitewide, which would probably solve any trouble people had with using them for autoblogs in the past.

Thing is, smart tools kills it. Just saying it like it is. If it sucked, I'd say it sucked. Two more days and 'rents leave and I can get back to work, can't wait to integrate it with some local sites.

Question, since I didn't get documentation and haven't had a chance to test it, can I put shortcode in the exit pop ups? Cuz that would be sick...exit pop up with a coupon / gift certificate offer in exchange for an email address = targeted local leads, I'm thinking.
