I'm running this on a Win 7 box with decent res cable speeds.

My config file ended up looking like this:

callbackurl=yourcallbackurl
proxystaleseconds=600
proxytimeout=15

With those settings I can get about 35-40 results per run. However, it overwrites the file on each pass instead of appending or creating sequential file names ie; proxies(*).txt, so no matter how long I let it run I will have less than 40 proxies when I come back to it unless I manually create a new txt at the end of each run.

I did 4 runs today and got 116 proxies when combined but all of them fail due to being pulled from free public proxy sites where the servers are quickly raped or borderline DoS'd

I guess if I ever find a decent sub for daily proxies I can use this to fetch them for me ...

LOL; of course they failed; public proxies work like that and this is precisely what PF was designed to do exactly what it does... Get you the working ones, AND ONLY THE WORKING ONES, in a text file for immediate use at all times.

Most ppl just leave PF running in the background or on a cheapo network-attached computer 24/7/365 and it ensures we always have some fresh proxies that are live for other apps I run to use from.

@ lukep - yeah, I let it run all day and started getting some dumps with 60+ in the list, which isn't bad considering, and I also noticed that when testing the proxies in sb they fail but if I keep that list loaded anyway it looks like about 50-60% did work when pinging and scraping about 600 urls earlier

I guess I was just hoping for a bigger list but I'm already getting more than I paid for with PF - all things considered

PF works extremely well in conjunction with SB. I use PF for initial finding proxies, then paste into SB and test with Google unchecked. It removes a handful and then copy those to main list. Off we go. Have gotten so much done with SB today using this method.

He's in the UK, so right now it's almost midnight. You first posted this about two hours ago - again when it's night there.

I haven't seen him on skype today since he's traveling - I'd say shoot him an E-mail or PM and you'll get it sometime tomorrow or Monday.

I'm looking forward to buy this tool but I have one question:
Does the proxies gathered by this tool work decently on Scrapebox?
I've been using the Scrapebox harvesting function but I only get 10 usable proxies out of all the sources.

Hmmm... I'm having very poor results with this tool, and it's probably my fault. I filled the "sources.txt" with a list of about 40 sources. Scrapebox says these sources contain about 10k proxies. PF only sees 3300 proxies or so... which is about how many it found before I added my own sources to the list. Is there a trick to adding to this text file? Do I need to remove line breaks?

I see in the folder two files that look alike judges and sources. I see different urls in them but do both do the same?
I know you said to edit the judges file will do just wondering about the other file whats it for.

This is for judges only.

Judges = urls that are used to test proxies.

Sources = urls that list proxies.
