I have an American friend currently living in Italy, working for an Art Museum. She is incredibly articulate and a great writer - she worked in NYC as an editor for a popular business publication. She wants to extend her stay in Italy and is looking for ways to generate some extra cash. She would be the PERFECT article writer!

Do you have work you could outsource to her? I wouldn't be going out on a limb by guaranteeing satisfaction. The bigger the job, the better. Let me know what you've got.

Sorry for the delay... we're in completely different time zones so it's tough to catch her online. She's probably pretty open in terms of topics but I'll ask her and let you know ASAP.

She tells me, "you know me as well as i do... YOU tell them what I can write about."

I would say she can write about pretty much anything. If she doesn't know something incredibly well, she can put herself in those shoes and do the research and come off sounding genuine and knowledgaeable. I wouldn't recommend her for technical webmaster related writing...

She'd be a great business writer... let me know the niche and I'll tell you what I think. Honestly though, this girl loves Italy and doesn't want to be forced back to the states... please let me know if you can help out!

If you're looking for more narrative about the actual BUSINESS and not so much technical domaining terminology I would say definitely. Perhaps you could point out a "sample" article which would be in the same "theme" of what you're looking for.

Jason I really don't know. I'd be more comfortable with you making some type of "offer" that I can show her. Neither of us really know the "going rates" and I wouldn't know where to begin with making an approximation. I've seen offers for VERY VERY cheap article writing but, in all fairness, these are mostly from non-english speaking writers in foreign countries.

That being said, perhaps you can let me know what YOU would be comfortable with, the scope of your project, and i can talk to her about your "proposal".

I'm sorry to be so vague... I've never been involved with the article writing trade and I'm just trying to do a favor for a friend!

I really wouldn't know what to offer. A sample article from her on this niche would be nice, just as a benchmark. In terms of price, I would prefer to know what she likes to charge, etc. I am prepared to accept any reasonable offer; but am not sure what offer to make

She recently had an article published from a writing job in Italy. It is on page 17 of the PDF that you'll find HERE.

As you'll see it's very high quality and unique writing. She told me that 500 words is about 1 full page, single spaced and she thought $9 would be a fair amount. Of course, if you have a bulk job we could talk about that, too.
