Been pull my hairs out, was #14, got lodged down to #60 and then when back up to #20, and then did a xrumer profile links and I got smacked down to #850

Which is the second last result, just one up from another made for affiliate site that seems likely to have done xrumer/scrapebox crap.

I'm going to try to do more white hat methods, it seems that google has started to get better and better at detecting blog farm SEO, spinning links etc.

I was position #14 for a long time

Dec 6 Got HOTH submission report
Dec 18 Ran a xrumer forum profile run.. I should know better, but I got desperate, beeing working on this site for 4 months and the most i got was #14..

I'm hoping this is temporary, but it looks more like I'm in the hole indefinately or for a long time.

Should I continue or just throw in the towel and restart on a new domain?

This is what I fear most when doing autolinking stuff on my money sites... how many profile links did you blast? did you use DFB for this or one of those 10000+ blast packages?

Just chillax and keep building those links...
This one of my sites that has been dancing for 8 weeks plus now, it usually pops up to 3 pos one one kw and 1/2 on another for 2-3 days then drop the fuck out of this planet for a week or so, anything from page 10 - 60. This last time so did it drop out for 3 weeks and still came back :) so keep building consistently and chillax :)

it's been a week man, give it some time

How long? And what else can the OP do to speed things up? The last time something like this happened to my sites, I had to wait 6 months for them to appear back on the front page. It was really depressing.

TigerUK, check out this thread, might be helpful - De-Sandboxing 101

The typical answers you're going to get would be - get high PR links, diversify the types and diversify the anchored texts, keep building them and 'eventually' your site will appear back stronger on the front page.

But my question is, how can you successfully do a huge xrumer blast on a new site without getting any sort of penalty, is it even possible?

There's a difference between a 'dance' and 'sandbox', dance is typical, nothing to worry about.. but when you do a "keyword" search with quotes, and if your site is at the very bottom of the last page results, then it's not a dance anymore, it's clearly a penalty in which Google puts you back in line aka Sandbox.

WAAAAAAY too much concern and energy is put into the "sandbox" effect, your sites tend to jump around like crazy and nobody can give you an exact answer to when it will level out.

You are not in trouble UNLESS you are solely relying on one site to make you the majority of your money. Work on other projects and don't drive yourself crazy obsessing about something that is out of your control. Build up your portfolio and you will not take it so hard, it will come back if the site is SEO'd well onsite and you continue giving it some link love.

This topic has been beat to death but since it's Christmas Eve and I'm got two more link runs before I call it quits, I'll be nice instead of calling you out for not using the search button and finding any of the 200 threads posted on this subject in the last 6 months.

Two sites, both young, both with relatively undeveloped link profiles.

Site 1, 1500 xrumer profiles, no linkbuilding afterword, took 5 weeks to come back most of the way, 9 weeks to come back all the way.

Site 2, 3000 scrapebox blog comments, built links like a motherfucker each and every day afterwords, danced for 3 weeks before stabilizing higher than it was before volume link drop. Never suffered the complete drop to the bottom of the SERPS that site 1 did.

Your results may vary, I've been drinking tequila for awhile now.

Step 1: chill
Step 2: give you sites time
Step 3: keep building high quality links( consistently) from a diverse set of links ,anchor texts

you should be back in a few weeks as others have mentioned

Just keep doing what you are doing... Maybe you should slow down a tad but but definitely don't stop link building. If you stop cold then you are basically saying "I knew I was doing something wrong" so just keep trucking and eventually you will pull yourself out of the sandbox and back into the serps.

I have had sites and my buddies have had sites that were sandboxed and we just kept trucking and funny enough when the sites popped back up in the serps we were ranked a lot higher than when we were sandboxed.

Crappy thing about it is now you have lost all your traffic until you get back in the serps. Slow down a bit and just don't make the same mistake on the next site you ramp up.

I just raped a one month old site with 133 pages of content with 1.33 million profiles. OH NOES THE WORLD IS FALLING. Now its blog commenting time.

I think this is just temporary, and I'll bounce back to the top. I've been looking for high pr sites to get links from, mainly foreign like indian and indonesian websites where I can buy sitewide text links for cheap, like $10 a month for a pr5 link.

Good news is that I found a follow pr5 link and two pr3 links for free. There are so bustom built websites out there that you can't really find by using any common CMS footprints that have autoapprove comment forums that you can get anchored backlinks from.

I'm also going to be guest posting on high PR and high traffic blogs, hopefully 5 of these should do the trick.

Btw here's a market samaurai rank tracking from google and bing serps. Still going strong on Bink, and #4 on the money keyword. However it doesnt give me any traffic I get like 1 hit a day from #4 rank on bing on a money keyword.. [keyword is similar to web hosting providers]

I'm still ranking in google, but ususally right at the bottom of the serps, bet ther eis hope some of the keywords are ranking OK [#38 and #129] shows some hope.

This isn't really sanboxed, because sandboxed websites are index but do not appear on any serps, in my case they are appearing in serps but they're limited right down so they show up at the end of search results.

Bing is good, but for my market google is the way to go, Bing is used by old people who aren't internet savvy [and use internet explorer and use the default search engine provider], my keyword is more internet savvy than that, [web hosting providers equivalent ketword] and therefor 99% likely to use google than bing

070707 you need to offer services again bro, I could go for a batch of a milly profiles myself, I remember that you did QUALITY work.

Have had close to 30 blogs over two years and a few of them have got fucked over.

One was de-indexed (lesson learned, I was doing dodgy shit on that one). Another flew off the radar completely and nearly six months since has not shown any sign of coming back (obvious penalty here, I have continued to backlink it). The third situation is recent and have seen this happening for other guys as well. The site will sit on the first page for the main terms and will then jump all the way back to the very last page and keep jumping between the two every week or so. Another thing was with two sites that fell from the first page both just after around the year mark. They just showed an inner page on page 6/7 or something, but they both came back a month or so later.

I am much more careful these days in the early stages, because Google is definitely getting smarter with their shit. Grizzly has been posting about them cracking down on spammy anchor text and it does seem like the algo has been tweaked. Just gotta adapt in 2011 and make everything look clean. Aged domains are gold these days.

If you are going to dirty dance (Profile / Comment links) with Google, expect Google to dance right back.....with your rankings.

I'm not saying those methods don't eventually produce results, but I've noticed massive dancing on sites I've hit with these type of backlinks.

For those of you that know me, you know where i work and i what i do (Top SEO Agency).

If you use xrumer, layered links, dfb, and are not doing other efforts of quality link building. Youre straight FUC*ED. At least for 3-9 months you will be. Do check your listings in Bing though. You should be ok there.

How do you get out? do quality only on the sandbox name and use the same methods you were using on a new domain. If it were that easy to continuously rank in the big G (xrumer blasts), G would be one messed up place. think about it.

Do article submissions, blog posts (relevant sites only), TLA, paid and free quality directory links. You will eventually stick in the top results. Also, don't use the same few anchor keywords everytime. This is another factor G uses to rank/penalize you, so diversify (anchors) and keep alert.

You'll eventually rank well. Sorry to those that got sandboxed. Experience will make you stick. ;)
