I just started playing Final Fantasy 7 and it brings back memories. This game is going on 15 years old and is still nice as hell. I mean there is pixalation and shit but this is what gaming was made for.

Others is the original Resident Evil, Killer Instinct and Killer Instinct GOLD, also the 2nd and 3rd MK, just got the new one and it is old school all over again.

There have been rumors that they where going to make FF7 for the PS3, I think a remake with all the stuff intact and better graphics would be kick ass

I share the same sentiments with FF7, dude. No idea why, I just grew up with that as the game that introduced me to deep RPGs I guess.

CT was awesome, Chrono Cross paled in comparison.

So many good old RPGs, FF4-9, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, the Breath of Fires, Dragon Warriors, Legend of Legaia, Lufia, Illusion of Gaia, 7th Saga, Grandia, Xenogears, etc. From NES to PlayStation were great console gaming years, now it's all interactive dancing bullshit and FPS.

ALttP, as mentioned earlier, was amazing also. All of the Zeldas. Used to play Zelda Online (now Graal Online) about 8 years ago. Great times.

Why play a console port (which doesn't work properly on modern PCs), when you can just get FF7 for Playstation and run it on an emulator with better graphics? Also the videos look awful in the PC port compared to the Playstation version.

I was a kid during the 16 bit era, Super Mario World, Street Fighter II, Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger etc. still one of the best eras in gaming IMO.

For the PS1 era I like MGS, Resident Evil 2, Tekken, Final Fantasy, (I like FF9 despite what people say, it was my favorite)

I tried committing myself to replaying VII recently but it requires a lot of concentration to absorb everything again and in the year 2011, single player gaming is sort of dead. After a while you just sort of feel lonely and disconnected from everything around you, the internet has ruined me.

ocarina of time is disgustingly good. I'm going to buy a 3DS just because they redid OOT and made the graphics better and in 3D. So sick.

I recently played the NES Kirby's Adventure for the first time... one of the best looking 8bit games ever and quite fun.

Also I've been playing the Simpsons 4player arcade game with a MAME emulator. I could never afford to play past the first two levels as a kid. Fun.
