I see lots of ads for AskSunday, the virtual assistant service. For just a project by project basis, they charge $12.00 and hour with a $3 dollar weekly activation fee, so in essence, about $15.00 per project.
Has anyone used them so far? |

I don't see those ads. This may be a case of remarketing?

Jake, I think you're right. I've been to their site as well as a few others, trying to figure out if I want to use a VA, how much they run, what's the procedure etc. It was right after that that I began to see their ads everywhere. None of the other VA sites have these type of 'prominent' ads as I'm surfing. It really makes them seem like the 'go to' site for virtual assistants.
Have you ever used them or any of the other VA sites? |

As you recommended there are tons of these types of sites all over the web which offer good work to Clients and try to make a network of good service providers.
But these types of options are not so much successive for small companies or freelancers because of complex rule to get any project and also high amount of fees after completion of any project and in start days you can't withdraw your money fast. Many of the sites will keep your money for short time period, thus you will not get instant payment until you make good reputation there. Thus, to offering our Web Media Advertisement and Web Promotion Services we prefer some best forums like Wicked Fire. Quote:

I've hired to VA's from www.odesk.com and they're great. They're MUCH cheaper than on AskSunday (mine are $3 (Filipino native who's done her schooling in English) and $4 (semi-retired English guy living in Spain) an hour), they write great articles ($3.50 for a 550 word article), and the oDesk payment process is really transparent.
They only get paid for the hours they're logged onto the oDesk system doing work so you don't have to ask for time sheets or anything like that. Whilst they're logged on, the oDesk software takes random screen shots of their computer so they can't cheat you. It also monitors that amount of minutes that there's activity on the screen so you can tell if they've just logged onto a screen and left it running while they make lunch. On top of this, they have to leave notes explaining exactly what they were working on in that 10 minute block. So far, I've had 9 websites set up, 3 550 word articles, and 3 2000 word articles written and it's cost me less than $30 total. Oh, and my $3/hour Filipino assistant is a qualified account who's doing all my books for me and my $4/hour English assistant has run his own business's for most of his life and is drafting a business plan for me. Smartest decision I've ever made. Check out oDesk, I highly recommend it. |

Thanks guys. I'm gonna steer clear of AskSunday and check out those links you gave Jake.
Louey, thanks for the first hand testimony - Odesk sounds pretty good! @Yakov, I see your point; getting some independent freelancers for the small things that I want done will probably be my best bet. From what I saw at Odesk, I like how their site offers a certain security about your purchase. |
