Its bound to be full of bugs and problems until at least the 2nd or third generation. I'm sure its good though... I'm just not a gadget junkie

no memory card? no battery replacement? na, but ya think Apple knows what they are doing? Same thing with the iPod. Put out a crap 1st edition, get people a little hooked, and they'll keep buying new versions.

Apple said it's only good for 300-400 charges, so at the end of the year you'll need to send it in for a replacement.
Also the internet connection for the iPhone is going to be relatively slow (56k speeds), so you're better off waiting for the 2nd generation when they switch to 3G

I think a lot of people are put off by the fact that it's only on AT&T. I am an Apple fanboy, but I know better than to buy the first gen of any gadget. I had a first gen iPod that i loved (still have it) but obviously the 2nd, 3rd and future generations were much better.

I think it is going to be a revolutionary device and it's going to change people's perception of what a cell phone is and how it should work.

Who the hell has the same cell phone for more than 2 years??

I agree that the cell internet connection sucks but with wifi that won't matter most places around where I live at least.

I'm going to get one...yea it does have EDGE instead of 3G and it will have some bugs, but you can't deny it will be a badass phone. I'll just buy the next edition when it comes out.
