Fuck Bank of America has gone mad!

Handing over $11m to 2 executives leaving the bank and on the same time charging $5 per month for using their debit card!

This is madness... (madness? This is America!)

everyone could do the sensible thing, and join a credit union with no fees, get ATM card usage free, free checking, no overdraft fees, and get money for putting their funds there. What a concept! Actually having a say in how your financial institution is run and getting a share of the money made!

Really dig the ending of that article:

Quote:
You’ve managed to awaken one of the most indolent, lethargic and apathetic populaces in the history of the world. You’ve now stirred a slumbering nation of 300 million from it’s Entennman’s and Zoloft-induced stupor. America is awake now and it’s pissed.

Good luck with that.

I have zero issues with the $5 a month extra. When the vast majority will go buy $10 a shot of liquor....... for the whole group of friends. Please complain about something else, just bank somewhere else. I'd rather not put my money in a credit union. I can go anywhere in the country and find a BOA atm. Have you ever tried to call a credit union after hours. Oh wait you can't because they are closed. Online banking is a joke with most credit unions.

If $5 covers convenience then that is fine with me.

BoA once mistakenly credited by banking account with an extra $300. I told them it was a mistake when I went to close the account. They said they could do nothing about it. True story.

You closed an account at a bank that credited it with a random $300?

Took the money and ran. That was a long time ago when $300 was actually worth something.

solution to $5 debit fee: use credit card, pay off balance monthly. earn points or cash back, accumulate no debt, pay no fees.

You guys don't seem to understand. It doesn't matter how much money they charge. its the principle of it. A bank shouldn't be charging anyone anything. They should be paying you to bank with them (which they do with savings accounts and what not). Point is they use your money to make themselves richer. Charging your customers any kind of money and you sitting there taking it up the ass thinking its all fine and dandy since its only 5$ just shows how a fool and his money are soon parted.

If your ok with the 5$ fee and don't think its such a big deal thats fine. Just acknowledge that you're an idiot and that you let your bank stick it up your ass while laughing in your face holding your own money, Because that's basically what they are doing.

I always love when folks, who have never run a business in their lives, comment about how a business should be run.

Yes they need input from the average brain dead american about how to run their global companies. Oh yeah!

HomeBusinessGuy has a spectacular aura about
Credit unions will see their business boom if these major banks continue with these fees. So I don't see why people are complaining about this. I mean unless there were no other options but to do business with a bank that charges a debit card fee then there's no reason to complain. Take your money and move it elsewhere. Make a statement that way. Don't keep your account with BoA or some other bank with a fee you don't like and verbally complain because it won't do any good. They'll just keep charging the fee and laugh at you the entire time. Make a real statement to the banks by moving your money to a credit union or a bank without a fee.

Some people don't shop American Apparel, drink Starbucks or go to clubs. I still have a few friends who have never owned a computer. They work, have roommates, shop at Goodwill and the dollar store. I know it sounds crazy... but they're out there.
