It's not just FoxNews. All agencies, ABC, NBC, etc. do their best to show everyone around Ron Paul as being the front runners. Democrats and Republicans are basically the same since they are both funded by the same Special Interest Groups. If anyone but Ron Paul is elected, the status quo remains. So, they push for anyone but Ron Paul to sway popular opinion that he has no chance, so why bother.

What's funny is that over the last 10 years, there has been a growing trend of Libertarian/Independent thinking. Assuming the US can survive 20 more years, Washington will see a very big change in agenda start to take place.

The first part of this sounds like you're talking about the American people, but the second part could be either/or since you start talking about either the Government or the Corporations that control Wall Street.

Assuming you're talking about the Government (or people that control the politicians), there is no "world power" being gone after. It's been here for quite some time. I suggest you look into the group that determines how Oil is paid for and regulated, and then look at all the Governments invaded or receiving sanctations when they don't comply with those regulations.
