Not watching those videos.. But I have a friend who had his leg nearly blown off in Iraq and he spoke about the dogs that they had to shoot. Many dogs are homeless and rather vicious / carried diseases, I'm not sure if that's the motivation behind the video(s) above, but obviously fucked up none the less if they're getting pleasure out of it. The sheep though I'm sure is just demented people being demented.

Dude, did you pay attention to history AT ALL in school?

1. We conquered the entirety of India, destroyed the Mughal empire which was doing a perfectly good job of ruling the place, then treated the natives like slaves. When we finally left, we left it so screwed up they are still fighting today (india vs pakistan, pakistan vs bangladesh).

2. Um... the whole Israel/Palestine thing is kind of our fault. We used to rule it, and property screwed up giving it back to the people we stole it from.

3. The reason Iran is where it is today is because we got upset when the democratically elected leader nationalised the oil assets, taking them off what used to be Anglo Iranian oil and is now called BP. We persuaded the US to support a coup and install the Shah. He was a total tosser, so they kicked him out and put the current band of nutters in.

4. Who invented concentration camps? Nazis? Nope. It was the British. We used them for keeping the Boers in during the Boer wars in South Africa.

5. The only reason we didn't lose the lot to Napolean in 1810 is because the only people more obnoxious than the British Empire at the time were the French, so the other nations decided we were the lesser of two evils.

Also: that video of the dog is pretty funny. I think if I was in that situation, I'd be tempted. The thing would only have starved to death anyway, so it's kind of euthanasia. It didn't suffer. The sheep thing was pathetic though.

Well in the context the above videos it's just cruelty for the sake of cruelty- but if a soldier shoots an animal and eats it then it's just the cycle of life at work (of course certain animals shouldn't be killed by humans at all unless in self-defense).

The behavior we're discussing here doesn't come anywhere close to justified, I just didn't want to sound like killing other animals is always a bad thing.
