They also temporarily disabled their affiliate programs. Started yesterday.

I'm a little pissed off.

Their office is in HK, and the owners were living in NZ when the US feds got them.

The fulltiltpoker crew was taken because money disappeared. This has not much to do with "shutting poker down because its bad". Imagine having a bank account at a bank that is required to hold 100% of client funds at all times and suddenly, 50% are gone. They get shut down. The Fulltiltpoker incident is a rare non-absurd case.

Look for statements of Tom Dwan (Durrr) if you want to know more about this.

That's not why they were shut down. They got shut down by the DoJ because they were operating in the US despite the UIGEA (Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act) and were laundering massive quantities of money through various financial institutions that they were in cahoots with. The shortage of funds to pay back all their players only came to light as a result of the shut down.

The fact of the matter is that if they were never shut down on Black Friday they would still be operating without problems today with more than enough bankroll to keep their operation solvent.
