I'm pretty sure gas prices actually hit over $4/gallon when Bush was in office also, sooo not a very good comparison.

Also don't forget that Obama signed a bill that allows the indefinite detention of US citizens without trial for any reason. Just sayin!

Only because I was getting frustrated with gas prices so bad that when I turned in my lease I refused to get another vehicle and rode around on my bike for a year... of course during that year gas prices were the lowest in years...

Then when I bought my new vehicle the fucking prices starting skyrocketing again...

1. This was everyone in Washington's fault. They all should have been thrown off a fucking bridge for this. The debt ceiling was getting raised. It will continue to get raised no matter who is in the White House or who controls Congress. There is no other way around it. It's money we owe, and money we don't have to pay for it. High gas prices are entirely on OPEC and the assholes that speculate on crude oil. OPEC manipulates supply to keep that shit high by holding massive reserves and putting off production when reserves are too high. And why any fuckwad is allowed to trade oil futures without having to physically take control of the product at some point is beyond me. That was the only fucking reason we experienced decades of extremely low gas prices. Back in the late 90's when we were paying less than a dollar a gallon most of the rest of the world was pay $3+ plus for a fucking litre.
