Haha, it's funny to watch the devolution of a country and morons like you. No, it may surprise you but the rest of the world does not blindly adhere to the laws created in America and actually create rules along democratic principles. Infact, many countries would take centuries to catch up to the embedded commercial interests that has lobbied and drained any ounce of credibility from your legal establishment. After all the hateful rhetoric that you have spewed out on these boards - in relation to politics, welfare, etc karma is just coming back round to take a punch. It's interesting, because I have visited America and Arab countries in the last couple years - I felt more freedom in the latter. Some examples of how weirdly backwards the USA is: Only 2 political parties. The fact a large percentage of your country are still heavily religious. The current one party pre-election campaigns costing hundreds of millions.

Arab countries are worse. At least in America one can presumably speak out against religion without getting their head cut off for heresy.

The problem with both cultures is that the people take themselves way too seriously when they aren't really qualified to do so. That's why everyone likes Thailand so much, the secret to their prosperity is their apathy. The knowledge that making rule after rule and trying to impose it on everyone won't make a fucking difference at all.

Why is it that every time an American defends our country, they have to compare it to the Middle East? You can speak out against religion in almost any country other than those that require you to wear a turban.

I do agree with you about this. This country takes themselves way too seriously. It wasn't always like this though. The 60's and 70's were much more carefree. People were much more "live and let live" back then. Now, someone gets hit on the head with a frisbee at the beach and before you know it, there's a mob at city hall that wants to ban frisbees. Or if it's not a citizen, it's a lawmaker who wants to take all the fun out of life.

Is it any wonder why I hate people nowadays?
