These people aren't extremists, it's a growing sentiment. 5-10 years ago, it would sadden me to hear about the death of a police officer. Now, if I heard people were rounding up cops/bankers/politicians to execute them en masse, I'd say it's about fucking time.

According to the FBI via Reuters reporter Patrick Temple-West, every last Ron Paul voter is a suspect for terrorism and is now deemed a "Sovereign Citizen." -Which before today sounded like it's a GOOD thing to be... But they define it now as:

Listen, McCarthyism was based on a lot of bullshit that rarely amounted to anything. The terrorism issue is not a non-issue. There were some likely communists with bad intentions but they never actually did anything. There most certainly are some Islamic terrorists with bad intentions and they have done things.

The reaction is a separate debate but the comparison of McCarthyism and Terrorism just doesn't really hold up.
