So I'm sure everyone here has heard about the guy getting mad that his daughter was posting negative stuff about the family all over facebook so he created a youtube video.

I'm highly skeptical about the sincerity of this and think it's a marketing ploy. I just haven't found any angle yet.

Apparently in this post he mentions his book he wrote: Facebook Dad Computer Shooter Fires Back With Smooth Recoil Response - WJLT

So what do you guys think? Is he just some guy that a video went viral, or was there some ulterior motive behind it?

Apparently he is denying any media requests and has received several TV offers.

Not sure how true that is but if you don't see him on some form of media he must've been sincere when he said it.

Actually, I think if he DOESN'T go on TV and do the interviews is much more telling that it was a marketing tool for his book. I don't think he expected it to go viral or maybe he did. He said he put it on YT because it is easier to upload on YT than FB, but he only intended the people who saw her post on facebook to see his video. This man says he works in IT so he should be internet savvy. I wonder why he didn't make the YT video PRIVATE and put the link with thumbnail on his daughter's page? If he does all the interviews now he will be revealed as a charlatan. We have been www dot CONNED. LOL. It was all about the book.

The only reference I saw to a book in that whole thing was a smartass/sarcastic comment that wasn't serious at all.

Well he's got the video itself monetized. And those pre-roll ads pay a lot more than the in-video popup things.

He could have destroyed the laptop in a better way. Shooting it seemed a little dull and boring if you ask me. A good ol' wooden Loui' Slugger would have been a lot more exciting.

Anyway... He is a dumbass for ruining a perfectly good laptop.
