I miss read the thread title. . . I thought it was a rip whit thread not a R.I.P thread.
Fuck her and all of these other celebrities that have "touched" the lives of millions, singing about useless babel, and are coked out ri-tards, that have done nothing except be idolized by a bunch of morons that looks at these people like they are gods. This is what a buddy of mine had to say and I couldn't agree more. . . I get it, people like Whitney Houston, great singer. But we can stop hero worshiping celebrities when they die? I don't need 24/7 coverage of all of her videos, I don't need to see homemade posters or candles, or people that have never known her beyond losing their virginity to the bodyguard soundtrack, crying in the streets. How about that firefighter that died rescuing that family, I would rather see 7 hours of news coverage on his life. Or how about that soldier that went to Afghanistan, you know the double amputee (oh there's only a thousand of these guys) can you pick just 1-2 and talk about their devotion to this country for a few hours? Or what about that single mother of 3 that is a super mom, lets talk about her devotion to her kids, juggling a job, and getting them to soccer practice on time. as far as I am concerned |

Whitney and her ilk are products of the machine, manufactured, branded, endorsed, sold, and consumed. They don't act like real people, interview like real people, live in the real world with real people, or even die like real people. They're products, not people. And they die sooner than real people because of that very planned obsolescence.
