Not a fan of music festivals but I may actually break down and get tickets to this.
I've always wanted to see Radiohead live and seeing Ben Folds live again would be cool. Spending 4 days in dirty conditions doesn't appeal to me in the least, though. I may have to rent an RV (fucking 4 grand). Kind of a small price to pay to not sleep in a tent next to god-knows-who doing god-knows-what, though. |

Can't believe City & Colour are higher on the bill than Mogwai and Das Racist. Not that I like Mogwai or Das Racist but come on! City & Colour?

99% of this is crap, but "Hospice" by The Antlers is one of the most awesome albums I've heard in the last few years and if you're going I highly recommend watching their set. Saw them in Seattle a few months ago and it's an intense experience.

If you don't like music festivals I wouldn't go here. lol. I like music festivals and I wouldn't even consider going to Bonaroo. Also odds are all the bands you want to see are going to be playing on separate stages all at the same time, defeating the purpose. Bonaroo is wack city. Something I've learned is the smaller the festival the better it is.

Oohhhh Ultra. I miss the good ole' days when it was actually on the beach.
I think that Bonnaroo would be fun... but those RVs are a rip. I don't think I could deal with a tent for that long and having that much fun. I would def need a place to relax and take a hot shower. Trying to find out how much this is Roll Like a Rockstar | Bonnaroo 2012

Would love to see the Beach Boys. I saw them when I was around 7 back in Hawaii, it was my first live music memory.
Would also like to see Skrillex get gang raped and then lit on fire.

Well the sound guy got pissed because they were disrespecting the band and tried getting them thrown out, was in their faces. I thought he was going to get in a fight with them. It was way over the top. |

Same here. I am married with kids but sneak away at least twice per year. I will PM you if I get a response on the price.

Some helpful hints if you're planning on coming for the first time:
- Once you get within 30 miles of the site, there is no turning back. Only 1 way in (from either direction), and everybody's on it. Thankfully, they widened the highway, but that just means you're sitting in a bigger traffic jam. - It is either hot as hell, or pouring down rain. The first couple years, the water situation there was not real good; even now, there are still a lot of people who end up getting medical attention for dehydration. - If someone comes around and passes you a bottle of water, make sure it is sealed, or you may wake up in the back of some dude's van. - Get your water before hitting the state line. Although the last couple years, I've been seeing a lot of people coming thru on I-40 and hitting supermarkets in Cookeville or Crossville about 2-3AM to beat the crowd. - If you're looking to buy booze on the way, in TN, I think there are still a few dry counties here, and most others won't sell between midnight-2am and 6-8am. If you get stopped with an open container in the vehicle, it's usually a citation, but keep your driver sober. TN is one of the worst places to get a DUI. - UC's are in the crowd, and they will try to buy/sell dope, but they usually gravitate toward the areas where it smells like weed. - You may think it is a good idea to slide around in the mud. If the mud smells weird, don't get in it, because this is a place where the cows like to shit. |
