wdmny has a spectacular aura about
Jon's Investor and Partner

I noticed on your blog that you have an investor and a partner and I have just a couple questions that shouldn't be confidential or proprietary or anything, just curiosity.

Why do you need an investor? It sounds as if you only run content sites, which aren't usually capital intensive. Where is the money going... paid writers, link buying, and advertising? It just seems that you could fund this kind of thing out of pocket (especially when your site is already turning a profit) for a content site.

As for the partner, does this person basically do the same things as you and you work as a team to get more work done or does this person do a certain part of the work? Ex: one of you does marketing, one does content writing.

Do you think you could create a successful site (compared to your other sites or even just a 5 figures annually site) today without an investor or partner? I am assuming yes, but would it take substantially longer? This one should be of interest to all those out there who are starting out and don't have investors and partners.

This gives me an idea of a great WickedFire contest/challenge. I'll PM it to Jon and see what he thinks.
