I don't use Aol.com ever, but I accidentally went to it today, and was seriously blown away....
AOL.com looks EXACTLY like fuckin Yahoo.com... Here's a side-by-side I made to prove the point: ![]() WTF? They even have the same fuckin ad in the same spot. I took the screenshots like 1 minute apart, so they're even rotating at the same intervals. The only thing I could think of is that Google is using AOL as their puppet to grab more of the portal market share.... so I circled the Google logo. Either way, it's really creepy to see a company of this size totally fucking copycat their DIRECT COMPETITOR. Does anyone have any idea what the hell is going on with that? |

My 'Conspiracy' Theory
I have the feeling it's not as innocent as they'd like you to believe....
I mean come on.. AOL = Godfather of "users' Internet**", they don't need to 'steal' design do they? Here's what I think: AOL is cooking something up with Google. Why? More fucking power. What better way to push your competitor out of first place (I think Yahoo is #1 in portals) than to team up with a top competitor, make them lose face in the 'biz/tech/other communities' with a duped site , attract Yahoo sheeple users, then... BAM! Google steps in to save the day and buys AOL... Game Over. ** By users' Internet, I mean your grandma and people who couldn't get online without AOL. |
