Question How to shrink a videos file size down? What software does this?

I have a video that is like 582mb large and I need to get it down to less than 100mb. What software does this?

Thanks
-Chris

Try FFmpegX ffmpegX a DVD, SVCD, VCD, CVD, VOB, DivX, XviD, H.264, PSP, iPod, MP4, MOV encoder for Mac OSX or if you have to use a PC try meGUI MeGUI - x264/XviD/lavc/Snow encoder with MP4/MKV/AVI output & audio - Doom9's Forum. I have used FFmpegX, but not meGUI.

you can use ffmpeg. there's a command line switch to set the max file size.

Basically you are just after a video encoder. So any such software like DivX will do the trick.

I use Total Video Converter. Converts to almost any video format out there, has an easy GUI and can do all sorts of compression. I compress my MPG2 home videos to Xvid with 90% space saved each time.
