ahh, thanks for the heads up... actually I got a letter the other day from my ISP saying that they had tracked my download of Adobe CS3... the funny thing is that I actually have a LEGIT license of CS3 but the Adobe licensing download site was down for like 2 days so I just decided to download a torrent and use my legitimate license.

Thanks stanley... how did you find out they were in court?

Meh... I gotta say, I like Kanye's stuff a lot better. More musical. 50's shit sounds the same as everything else he's put forth. At least Kanye's songs sound a LITTLE different each time around.

wow 50's album sucked, awful lyrics. I liked ayo technology and "i get money", but that was it. I like everyone one of Kanye West's songs except "drunk and hot girls".

I agree. I mean Kanye's 100x better than 50 anyway... the only thing catchy about 50's songs are the beats, which are usually done by em or dre or talented producer. Also I like kanye because he sings about real issues... and kind of makes fun of the lime light and what not. 50's lyrics could basically be done by anyone else in the game...

well i think aim is right in saying Kanye is a bit different from your average mainstream rapper. Mainly because he often talks about the insecurities and double standards that himself and hip hop culture tends to spit out. Meh, I haven't heard the new 50 album but I heard some of the tracks on Kanye's. The reason 50 grew popular is because he came out w/ the sympathy card, surviving 9 shots and making music with catchy hooks. Other than that, most of his money and his status is coming from the business side of his life, like sponsorship and the little 400mill he got for vitamin water. He, and the entire G-unit, have been "defeated" with their own style by other artists including joe budden and jadakiss so meh.

Kanye, the reason that he gets a lot of the play that he does is because he's good w/ his producing ability. He took that, and touched up his lyrics and put himself to work. His instrumentals, mostly samples of older music, are "fiyah"....his flow is ehh....his lyrics are *shrug*

I agree, Kanye is a great producer, I'll give him that. But his lyrics and flow are so average it's just like, well, I have a hard time listening to it. Now I'm not saying he hasn't done good songs, and he's obviously good enough to sell records, but when he walks around dissing other people and basically telling people to worship him, I'm turned off. He's not good enough to say those things. That's why I don't buy his records.
