nah not jealous... took me around an hour or two to write it up... but im as sleepy as fuck... im hitting my keyboard with my forehead anytime soon.

i just cant stand the fact that he always acts like the best buddy so friendly blahblah but now you can see he just wanted as many signup he could get to sell it at the best possible price as soon as possible before they have just ghost accounts left because the people getting the point that there is a limit of ebay accounts they can spread and you dont make shit from auctions.

how did he act like a 'best buddy'? in his blog posts. my hunch when i heard about auction ads is it would fail as i knew auctions would make shit and was really surprised that shoemoney would do it as i get the impression he's pretty smart. but i never realised he was building it to sell it. and he did sell it at a tidy profit. cashing in on the increased vc money on the net. so of course he'd lie to get more signups.

fair play to him in fairness, he knows how to make the green

It was obviously all hype. If they had anything there, they would have rode it for a lot longer and cashed out for way more than 3 million dollars. It was a good concept, but it is/was a terrible product.

yeah, i always asked myself why that auction ads thingy is sooo much hyped.

here in germany we got a similar ad format. (contextual ad targetting for ebay auctions.) you get the ebay comission and additionally 15 Euro cent per click on the ad.

and you know what? on a 10k uniques/day blog that thing performs like shit. you get something about 20 Euro/day (mostly through clicks) ... that's pathetic.

I liked how in his "10k ppc experiment part2" blog post he mentioned social engineering and then later linked to the parasite orphan page on a college newspaper website (a college in Illinois, even) that helped him make a big chunk of money. 99.9% of people see the profits and say "Wow, that's so awesome"...but very few people realize what happened behind the scenes to make that money roll in.

I have used AuctionAds to generate a few hundred dollars in profit through some passive websites I own. The niche is vending machines, as sales can be rather high. It's a great way to increase monetization with very little work.

Yup, he's a very good marketer and a very good communicator....compared to some of the other shows on WebmasterRadio, at least. And he attracts good guests to his show.

Not sure AuctionAds or even NaggerAds are built to handle the amazing targeted traffic from GOATSE sites. Those sites generate some pretty fucking good traffic. You can make a few thousand pennies from it a day, without updating! Woo!
