Google Removes Backlinks As Their Primary SEO Factor

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CUPERTINO, California― April 1, 2013 ― Google® today announced that backlinks would no longer play a role in determining a website's SEO Value. Google which features the world’s largest online search engine of websites around the world, says this will have immediate improvements in quality. Led by the search engine SPAM team or most notably Matt Cutts, the company believes back linking has been a major leak within their search algorithm. In return, allowing many low quality sites to rank for popular searches and decreasing the user experience worldwide.

“It’s interesting to see what SEOs and all types of internet marketers are doing with backlinks,” said Matt Cutts, Google's senior Engineer of the SPAM and quality division. “With the incredible content offered on online users can learn like never before ― there are now more quality sites showing up in their results with over 4,250,000 low-quality websites removed since last night, which is a phenomenal shift in the way we present quality results.”

Over 60 percent of all searches engine results have been modified to now reflect major improvements. However while this may mean major changes for SEO companies and the like, Google believes this shift will be beneficial both businesses, and the end user alike. And while this might come as a surprise to most, the infamous Panda and Penguin had previously reflected Google's intention of going towards the future. Yet with Matt Cutts leading the front on the new age of web, it's remarkable to see how his first first version of SafeSearch, which is Google's family filter, has progressed over the last several years.
